Meccaya Pharmaceutical Donates PPE and Medical Facilities

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Donations for the handling of Covid-19 continue to flow from various circles in the community. This time the donation was made by Meccaya Pharmaceutical, a pharmaceutical company that distributed donations of a total of 4,500 personal protective equipment (PPE), 500 liters of hand sanitizer, and 200 liters of disinfectant to a number of hospitals in need.

Meccaya Pharmaceutical President Director Ricky Surya Prakasa, in a written statement Monday (27/4) said this assistance is an effort by the company to support Indonesian medical personnel who are still struggling against the Covid-19 pandemic. "We are concerned that there are still many Covid-19 Referral Hospitals that experience a shortage of PPE. This encourages us to help so that at least all medical personnel who are fighting on the front lines can get high safety standards in carrying out their duties," he said.

Meccaya Pharmaceutical's Director of Operations, Riduan Kaban appealed to the public to remain calm and alert, maintain health, and obey government orders and regulations such as Physical Distancing, PSBB and working at home.

Riduan also conveyed that the social action carried out by the producer of ointment 88 and cream 88 is being sought to continue. Among other things, by distributing groceries and hand sanitizers to the underprivileged, either directly or in collaboration with various competent and transparent foundations. "We hope, with the support and cooperation of all parties, the handling of Covid-19 can run more effectively, quickly, and safely, so that the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesian society can be immediately cut off," he said.

The donation was distributed to a number of hospitals in Bekasi and Jakarta, namely Bekasi City Hospital, Bekasi Regency Hospital, Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, Husada Hospital, Tugu Koja Hospital, and Friendship Hospital. In addition to material donations, his party reminded the importance of providing moral support and enthusiasm for medical personnel throughout Indonesia.
